New Owners as of August 2017. Becky and Jayar (aka the guy in the kilt with the awesome beard) Miller are happy to invite all of you to come enjoy our campground and the surrounding area's. For those of you who have never been here we have a long list of free amenities, check our website, and are centrally in mid-coast Maine allowing you to visit the state without having to feel like anything is really far away.

On a more objective note, campsite was clean, other employees were friendly, sites were small. Oh...and for the poor staff member who responds to these posts, maybe hand your owner a few of the comments. You might all have better days if reality was presented to her. Poor you!

For those of you who have been here before and had a great experience you can expect more of those next time your here. And for those of you who have bad experience come back and give us a chance to show you how much things have changed.

This is for KOA in Abilene Texas. Tried to get a premium site (concrete pad) but it said form the time I was going to be there they were not available. Ok so took what they gave me. Most of the sites are not level at all. There is only 1 premium site and it is not concrete the just removed the weeds put a concrete patio in. Just was not what I was expecting at all. The KOA by us is beautiful all concrete pads, small upkept ponds and grass.

Clean, quiet and well maintained. We enjoyed the Sunday pancake breakfast especially as we were packing up and helped to have one less thing to do in the morning-my little ones loved it. The family running this KOA was lovely. Cute beach park next door to the property we had to skip but I would recommend families check it out if you have the time.

Great people, new owners in August and treated us great. One of the only Camp Grounds in the area open at this time of year and are planning to stay open offering dry camping this winter.

NOT IMPRESSED I've been travelling on my bike for over a year. The 'lady' who apparently owns this place, and who works reception and guards her store, is the rudest, most unwelcoming person I have run across in all the places I've been. Unfortunately for her underlings, their good work is dwarfed by this looming shadow. Prison guard might be a better vocation for her.
